2002 Penfolds Bin 2
Shiraz Mourvedre
Australia
BOTTLE $28
GLASS $7

Penfolds Bin 2, from its first vintage in 1960, was the result of experimental work by Penfolds winemakers to create a medium-bodied, soft-finishing Australian Burgundy style. Full and round with good berry fruit supported by soft spice, hints of liquorice and violets. There is good mouthfeel and body to the mid-palate and a long lustrous finish.

Sangiovese
Italy
BOTTLE $36
GLASS $9

Made primarily from Sangiovese this red wine is ready to drink when young, yet possesses a solid structure rich in tannins. For about 9 months, 30% is aged in barriques made from North American oak and 70% in stainless steel, followed by a brief period in bottle. Formulae is bright ruby red, with a large and intense bouquet, full and round on the palate.

Merlot
California

The 2001 Leaping Horse Merlot grapes are sourced from Lodi vineyards that have well drained soils. This Merlot was rotary fermented, which extracts full fruit flavour without any herbaceousness. The cool breezy afternoon climate of these vineyards enhances the ripening process, and accentuates the flavours of blackberry and plum in this crowd-pleasing fruit bomb.

2000 Montevena
Red Zinfandel
California
BOTTLE $28
GLASS $7

Amador County has long been thought of as an ideal growing area for Zinfandel due to its shallow, decomposed granite soils and warm climate. The Lodi region boasts a classic Mediterranean climate. The dry warm summer days allow Lodi grapes to develop full ripe fruit flavors while the distinctive breezes maintain the natural acidity for structure and complexity in the finished wines.

Pinot Noir
Willamette Valley
Oregon
BOTTLE $36
GLASS $9

Firesteed Willamette Valley Pinot Noir has aromas of freshly ground coffee beans and black cherries. Deep, ripe raspberry, plum and baker's chocolate flavors grace the palate. The wine has silky tannins with a generous finish.
